Big-hearted dog in a small frame, he retains a natural, unexaggerated look. The otter head, narrow build and carrot shaped undocked tail are features of the breed. He will take as much exercise as you wish and have a strong hunting instinct. The tweed look double coat requires stripping by hand twice a year. A comb will remove dead undercoat.
Colours are red, wheaten, grizzle and tan or blue and tan.
