A powerful hound built for manhunting. He as the most remarkable scenting ability. He has a rather solom expression and thin loose skin. Gently treatment is needed with this rather sensitive dog. They require a lot of exercise and training to get the best from them. The coat is short and flat.
Colours are black and tan, liver and tan or red.
