This is the heaviest of the spaniel family, he has a large broad head long low body with strong legs, big feet and a slight rolling drive on the move. A patient and kind he has a well developed scenting ability and a great determination. The coat is silky, straight and close, with feathering on the chest and legs which take some grooming. Tails are normally docked.
Colours are a plain white body with lemon marking. Orange is permitted. There should be slight head marking and a freckled muzzle.
